[Killeen, TX] — Hip, hip, hooray! It’s almost time for Kids’ Day! Carlson Cares invites families from Killeen and surrounding areas to come celebrate Día del Niño on Apr 20, 2024. This Carlson Cares Party with a Purpose will be held in the firm’s office parking lot located at 100 E. Central Texas Expy. Killeen, Texas 76541. This weekend’s event will happen rain or shine!
Día del Niño fun is free and has something for everyone! Kids can enjoy music, games, snacks, prizes, and giveaways. Parents, guardians, titis and tios, we thought of you, too! Adults present will have a chance to participate in a Bad Bunny ticket giveaway for the exclusive concert coming up in April at the Moody Center.
“Joy and fun thrive in a safe and inviting environment,” said Danielle Mott, The Carlson Law Firm’s Community Outreach Coordinator. “So we made sure to include activities that are welcoming to children with different interests and abilities.”
Children at Día del Niño can choose to have all kinds of fun by visiting the different Fun Stations, organized into sections with high-engagement activities and others that offer more passive fun. Kids with high energy can enjoy activities such as Fishbowl Pong, Path of Prizes, and Pick-A-Duck, among others. Soothing stations will offer passive fun for everyone, including Bubbles-Up Station, Water Tattoo Station, Painting Station and Guessing Game Station. All activities will allow kids to win prizes, so every child goes home with goodies.
Joining us for the fun will also be players from the Coyotes, FC soccer team, set up with their soccer goals. Coyotes’ stellar players will be available throughout the duration of the event playing soccer with the kids and giving them pointers on their soccer technique, according to their ages.
Delicious treats will be provided by Toda Madre Cravings. Their famous Botanas Bar and Elote Bar will delight kids and accompanying adults alike. These appetizing traditional treats are something you do not want to miss. All children will also be given a drawstring goodie bag filled with snacks such as instant oatmeal, granola bars, cookies, fruit cups, citrus cuties, chips, and popcorn, while supplies last.
Día del Niño or Children’s Day in English, is a heartwarming holiday that originated in Mexico in 1925, where it was established to commemorate the importance of children and promote their well-being. In 1996, organizations began promoting the celebration in the United States. Día del Niño is now a nationwide celebration that brings together people to celebrate the gift that children are to our society.
