One person was killed and dozens of others were injured when a bus carrying Channelview ISD High School band members ran off a highway and plunged into a deep ravine in Alabama.
The fatal crash sent at least 20 people to 10 different hospitals.
Records from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration show that First Class Tours, the company that owns the bus, has been involved in four other crashes in the last two years. Of those four crashes, one other also involved a fatality.
Much like other types of motor vehicle accidents, crashes involving charter buses are largely preventable. If you or a loved one has been injured in a charter bus accident due to the negligence of another party, you may be able to recover compensation through a personal injury claim.
