18 Wheeler Accident Leaves Wheelchair Bound Man Injured

A wheelchair-bound man was injured when he was hit by a truck in an 18 wheeler accident in Gatesville, officials reported.
The victim of the Texas 18 wheeler accident was identified as Otis Garner. Police did not give an age for the man.
According to Billy Vaden, Gatesville Fire Chief, the man was struck at the intersection of 24th Street and Main Street. Garner was crossing Main Street in his wheelchair with the 18 wheeler-pedestrian accident took place.
Garner was transported via ground ambulance to Scott and White Hospital in Temple, where he was treated for bruises, abrasions, and other injuries.
Authorities have not yet identified the driver of the truck but did report that the vehicle involved was identified as a 2001 Kentworth 18 wheeler truck.
