18 Wheeler Construction Accident Kills One Worker, Injures 4 on I-35

An 18 wheeler accident in McClennan County left one construction worker dead on Thursday morning, sending four other workers to the hospital with injuries, officials reported.
Police identified the construction worker who was killed as 42-year-old Josh McGowan, a resident of Dallas.
According to reports, McGowan was struck by a construction truck after it was initially struck by an 18 wheeler truck. The construction workers, employed by Brooklyn Sweeper, were filling the construction truck with debris when the 18 wheeler truck smashed into the back.
Four other workers were injured in the 18 wheeler construction accident. One was later flown to Scott & White in Temple with serious injuries to his leg. The identities of those injured construction workers were not immediately released and an update on their statuses has not yet been provided.
I-35 was closed in the region where the 18 wheeler accident occurred.
In the past five weeks, two people have endured fatal accidents on I-35 throughout the stretches experiencing construction.
