A rollover accident outside of Kingsville claimed the life of a 27-year-old woman, who was traveling on State Hwy 141 on Tuesday when she lost control of the vehicle she was driving.
Police identified the woman as Maria Luisa Flores.
Flores was driving a Ford F-150 at the time of the single vehicle rollover. Officials believe that Flores left the roadway and attempted to steer the vehicle back onto the highway but overcorrected. The Ford pickup truck overturned several times before coming to a rest.
Initial investigations revealed that Flores may not have been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the rollover accident. She was transported to Christus Spohn Kingsville, where she was later pronounced dead.
