3-car crash kills woman, injures two children
A 22-year-old woman is dead, and two children injured, following a three-car crash is southeast Houston Wednesday night, according to Houston Police Department.
The woman was driving a black Kia Forte at a high rate of speed when she hit the back of a gray Honda which was attempting to make a turn into a subdivision. The initial crash was relatively minor, but the Kia then veered into oncoming traffic and slammed head-on into a white Ford F-150.
She was rushed to a hospital nearby, but was later pronounced dead. The status of the two young children is still unknown, however they were also transferred to the hospital. Police have not yet disclosed the children’s ages or their relationship with the female driver.
The driver of the Ford was also taken to hospital but his condition has not been released to the public.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m., in the 137000 block of Scarsdale, police have reported.
