A 31-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an Austin accident on Sunday when he crashed into a wayward vehicle, which had lost control before veering into the path of two motorcycles.

The 31-year-old unidentified victim was riding an orange 2006 Harley Davidson. He was pronounced dead nearly three hours after the collision occurred.

Police said at least four people were transported to area hospitals as a result of the motorcycle accident on FM 2222 in Austin. The motorcyclist’s passenger was among those injured in the wreck.

Officials are still investigating the accident in an effort to distinguish what may have caused the driver of the Pontiac to lose control, sparking the crash.
