KILLEEN, Texas — The Carlson Law Firm proudly hosted its largest Veterans Food Truck Rally on November 9, 2023. This year’s event not only continued the beloved tradition but also set a new record, as the firm catered to the appetites and hearts of the veteran community in Killeen and the surrounding Fort Cavazos area—despite the rainy weather.
With nearly 400 Veterans in attendance, the firm hosted the event at its principal office in Killeen, Texas, a city renowned for its strong military community adjacent to Fort Cavazos, one of the largest active duty armored posts in the United States Armed Forces.
This year, a diverse lineup of food trucks rolled in to offer a taste of global cuisine, turning the lot into a vibrant hub of flavors and fellowship. Local favorite Korean Kravings dished out fusion flavors, blending traditional Korean dishes with a modern twist. Rib Tips catered to barbecue enthusiasts, slow-cooking their signature meats to perfection. Checkpoint Germany brought a taste of Europe with authentic German fare, while Las Pilas Taco served up classic Mexican street food, featuring an assortment of tacos and other savory treats. Coco Cafe rounded out the event’s savory lunches by serving Hawaiian food.
Adding a sweet finale to the mix, The Cupcake Avenue lined up its delectable array of frosted creations, tempting veterans with an assortment of cupcakes that were as visually stunning as they were delicious.
The event served free lunch to over 380 veterans and active-duty service members who presented a valid military ID. The success of this year’s rally also highlighted The Carlson Law Firm’s ongoing dedication to the veteran community, reinforcing their reputation not just as legal advocates but as staunch supporters of military families and their needs.
“This event underscores our commitment to giving back to those who have devoted their lives to the service of the nation,” said Managing Partner Craig Carlson. “We’re honored to host this event annually, and it’s our small way of saying ‘thank you’ for their immense contributions.”
