A 97-year-old man was injured when an AT&T employee was working on a cell tower and accidently let a donkey out, with which the man’s pickup truck collided with, officials said.
According to witnesses, the 97-year-old, Preston Booker, of Magnolia Springs, hit the donkey before colliding with a log truck, which had slid into the opposite lane of traffic after avoiding the donkey.
Officials have not yet released an update on the condition of the man who was injured in the accident. He was transported by ambulance to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital. No one else appeared to have been injured in the accident, although the donkey was put down as a result of the car crash in Texas.
