Austin Cycling Accident Leaves Rider in Serious Condition

A cycling accident in Austin left a rider in serious condition when he was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of 15th Street and Guadalupe, police said.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the cyclist was arrested for failing to stop and render aid and intoxication assault after police located the driver downtown.
According to Austin police, the bicyclist was dragged by the vehicle for several feet.
The unidentified cyclist was transported to the hospital for the treatment of serious injuries he incurred in the cycling accident in Austin. Police are still investigating the accident and are asking for witnesses who may be able to provide additional information, to come forward.
