Bicyclist Killed in Boerne Hit and Run Accident on I-10 Access Road

A hit and run accident in Boerne, Texasclaimed the life of a bicyclist, who was traveling westbound on the access road of I-10 when he was struck by a car, that quickly fled the scene.

Police found the bicyclist in a ditch after receiving reports from passersby, who saw the wrecked bike and victim.

The victim of the bicycle hit and run accident in Boerne, that took place on Thursday evening, around 7 p.m., was identified as a 68-year-old Larry Becker, a resident of Boerne. The man was found dead when police arrived on the scene of the crash. The driver of the vehicle that struck Becker was identified as Joseph Thomas Gabay, 64.

According to officials, the bicycle was completely destroyed in the accident, highlighting the severity of the Texas hit and run accident.

All that was left at the scene was an antennae, which officials believe belongs to the car the struck the victim, although surveillance of the scene may be available for reviews, authorities noted.
