Box truck hits semi, injures 2
A crash just north of Troy slowed traffic on the I-35 early Tuesday morning.
Authorities have reported that an 18-wheeler was stopped in the southbound lane of the highway just before 1 a.m. because of a flat tire when it was struck by a cargo truck that had drifted onto the shoulder of the road.
Both drivers were sent to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Cargo from both trucks was scattered across highway at the scene of the collision.
The 18-wheeler driver has been identified by authorities as Lloyd Byron Pinson, Jr., 47, of Frisco. The cargo truck driver was identified as Nathaniel Thompson, 41, of Desoto.
