Box truck passenger killed in Burleson wreck with 18-wheeler
A crash on Interstate 35 in Burleson has killed the passenger of a box truck on Thursday afternoon, officials say.
Police were dispatched to a wreck in the southbound lane of the highway, south of Alsbury Boulevard just after 2 p.m., they’ve reported.
According to authorities, it it still unclear how the events of the crash unfolded, but a box truck and an 18-wheeler were involved. A second box truck occupant was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The southbound lanes of the freeway were closed during rush hour Thursday, as traffic was being diverted onto the shoulder.
