Boy Killed in 18 Wheeler Accident

A San Antonio 18 wheeler accident on Highway 281 involving a tractor trailer that was experiencing mechanical problems and a passenger SUV claimed the life of a young boy riding in the SUV on Monday morning, officials said.

Authorities identified the boy, who passed away as a resul of injuries he endured in the San Antonio 18 wheeler accident as 7-year-old Justin Kalak. Kalak was pronounced dead at the scene of the semi-truck crash.

According to reports, the 18 wheeler truck was attempting to pull to the side of Highway 281 after experiencing mechanical problems. The semi-truck was not pulled off the roadway completely, which caused the SUV to clip the rear of the tractor trailer, KSAT reported.

A young girl, who was also in the SUV, was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
