Brazos County Cattle Baron’s Ball

We’re always up for the challenge of raising money for amazing causes in our local communities and the Brazos County Cattle Baron’s Ball was the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Benefitting and bringing attention to cancer research, advocacy, service and education, the American Cancer Society is a charity that people across the nation are familiar with but it’s also a cause very close to attorney, Kathryn Knotts’ heart.

“The Brazos County Cattle Baron’s Ball is important to the community because all funds raised are used to help our neighbors, our friends and our family who are battling cancer,” Bryan Attorney Kathryn Knotts said. “Whether it is providing money for a wig, travel expenses for patients traveling to MD Anderson in Houston, or medication expense assistance, the funds raised have a direct and profound impact on the patients and their family. Fighting cancer is a huge battle and places a huge financial and stressful burden on the families. If the funds raised can help lessen that burden some, then it is well worth the time and effort put forth to raise the funds.”

Held on Saturday, February 2nd, the event featured live entertainment, dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, games and prizes: all benefitting the American Cancer Society.

Despite a busy schedule as a personal injury attorney in Bryan-College Station, Kathryn Knotts lent a hand on the event’s decorating committee and aided the auction with donated items.

“I wanted to participate in this particular cause in honor of my mother who has battled cancer,” Knotts revealed. “When my mom was diagnosed, it affected not only her but our entire family. Thankfully due to early detection, a proactive approach and countless prayers, my mom has beat cancer. I am blessed to spend more time with my mom and wanted to show my appreciation by giving back to my community. Cattle Baron’s Ball supports and raises funds to help those waging the same battle my mom did. I am thankful that we can support them and help them in this fight.”
