Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad Employee Struck, Killed by Maintenance Car

An employee for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway was killed in a Texas workplace accident after he was struck by a maintenance car, Amarillo officials said.
According to police, the employee was hit by a grinder machine.
The worker was pulled beneath the machine, which is used for track maintenance. Reports noted the employees were working on fixing a leak on the train prior to the man being hit by the railroad car.
Police are still investigating the workplace accident that killed the employee and an autopsy has been ordered. The victim of the train maintenance car accident has only been identified as in his 50’s.
