Cameron Woman Killed in 18 Wheeler Accident on Texas 36
One woman was killed and the driver of a passenger vehicle was seriously injured on Friday night in an 18 wheeler accident in Cameron on Texas 36, officials said.
The woman who was killed in the 18 wheeler accident in Cameron was identified by police as 34-year-old Tanya Renee Spiller, a resident in Cameron. Spiller was in the front passenger seat when the 19 wheeler collided with the passenger side door of the Buick she was riding in. Spiller was pronounced dead at the scene of the big rig accident.
The driver of the Buick, who was transported to Scott & White hospital via ground ambulance, was identified as 45-year-old Troy Eugene LaBlanc.
According to reports, the driver of the 18 wheeler truck struck the Buick while attempting a left turn onto Scott Ave.
The driver of the truck was not injured in the tractor trailer accident in Cameron.
