Car crashes into 18-wheeler killing driver, injuring passenger in Dallas
One person was killed, and another was injured when the car they were in slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler late Tuesday night, according to police.
Records state that Dalynn Brown was speeding northbound on Interstate 45 near Lamar Street, southeast of downtown Dallas when he crashed into a stalled semi that was in the left lane of a construction zone with its hazards on, according to police officials. The sedan he was driving was crushed.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The passenger was transported in critical condition to Baylor University Medical Center.
The crash caused several other fender benders as drivers slammed on their brakes to avoid the accident.
