Carlson attorney’s second act: Rob Ranco performs at Austin showcase

Here at The Carlson Law Firm, we are well aware of attorney Rob Ranco’s razor sharp analytical abilities, and keen attention to detail. But what might come as a surprise to many, is that he is quite the maestro as well.

Ranco recently performed at the Austin Asian American Bar Association’s 3rd annual Attorneys in the Arts showcase. The concert showcased Austin attorney artists, including comedic storytellers and spoken word poets; pop, blue and folk singers; guitar, piano and tabla musicians; and for the first time ever, a magician.

In addition to the attorney performances, the showcase also featured comedian Maggie Maye, who recently appeared on the popular late night tv show Conan, and Austin-based comedian Vanessa Gonzalez, who performed her acclaimed one-woman sketch comedy act.

All net proceeds from the event were donated to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a childhood cancer charity funding the most promising research to find cures for children with cancer.

Along with a solo performance, Rob also played with “The Appeals”, a four-person band that included a singer, guitarist and a tabla player.

The event was a huge success. Congratulations Rob.
