Conroe Head-on Collision Kills One Driver, Sends A Mother and Son to Hospitals

A Conroe head-on-collision on South Loop 336 sent a mother and her son to the hospital with serious injuries and left the driver of a speeding vehicle dead, officials said.
Police said a compact car was traveling at high rates of speed, Monday afternoon, as it traveled eastbound. An SUV was traveling in the opposite, westbound lane of traffic on South Loop 336, when the compact car lost control, smashing into the SUV in a head-on collision.
According to officials, the driver of the compact vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene of the Conroe car accident.
The mother, driving the SUV, was seriously injured in the collision. She was transported via Life Flight to a Houston hospital after she was freed from the vehicle by fire department officials.
The SUV driver’s 13-year-old son was transported to the hospital via ambulance.
The identities of the woman and her son, as well as the identity of the fatality involved, have not been released by police. In addition, an update regarding their updated conditions has not been given.
