Crawford Woman Dies in Texas Car Accident on Highway 6

A Texas car accident on Highway 6 in McLennan County left one woman dead and two others injured, on Saturday afternoon, when the driver of a vehicle, who was blinded by the sun, collided with another car that was attempting to turn left on Crawford Road.

Police identified the woman who was killed as 48-year-old Crawford resident, Judy Mauerman. Mauerman was transported to Scott & White Hospital in Temple via helicopter. She later passed away as a result of the injuries she endured in the Texas car accident.

Police said the driver of the truck claimed they could not see the smaller car, in which Mauerman was a passenger. As a result of the initial impact, the vehicle Mauerman was riding in collided with a minivan. The driver of the minivan was transported to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center along with the driver of the small sports car that Mauerman was a passenger in. They were both listed in serious condition.

The driver of the truck involved was not injured in the Highway 6 accident.
