Drunk Driving May Be Tied to San Antonio Wrong Way Accident

A wrong-way accident in San Antonio sent two drives to the hospital with injuries resulting from the accident on East Southcross Boulevard on Monday evening, which officials believe may have involved alcohol.

Police identified the driver of one of the vehicles involved as 43-year-old Darrin Clark, who was operating a Lincoln Towncar.

The other driver was identified by officials as 45-year-old Paul Valdez: the driver of a Chevrolet Suburban.

According to a report published by MySA, police said they believed Clark smelled of alcohol and as a result performed a mandatory blood draw.
