Ready Pac Foods issued a voluntary recall of 5,000 cases of bagged salads due to potential E. Coli contamination, they announced last week.

According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the salad mixes were distributed to Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming.

The bagged romaine and lettuce mixes were tested and found to be contaminated with E. Coli through random government testing, the FDA said.
