An 8-year-old child was killed in an Eastland County auto accident, Friday, county officials said. Two other people were killed in the crash and two other children were injured when a Cadillac lost control on Interstate 20.
The Cadillac crossed into eastbound lanes of traffic, striking a Ford pickup and a Porche, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety authorities.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jayson Allen Melendez, the driver of the Cadillac, Cameron Allen Melendez, 8 and Tina Lanai Adams, 41, were among those killed in the Texas crash. Six-year-old Grant Adams and 10-year-old Lexie Mercer, who were also riding in the Cadillac, were taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth. They were most recently listed in stable condition.
Drivers and passengers riding in the other vehicles involved were not injured, according to TDPS authorities. Investigations regarding the fatal accident are still taking place.
