Father, daughter killed in street racing accident
Two people were killed and five others injured on Saturday night when a red Ford Mustang lost control and clipped a minivan, pushing the minivan onto the sidewalk where it struck two pedestrians in Round Rock.
The mustang was allegedly racing a second blue mustang down AW Grimes Road at twice the posted speed limit of 45 mph when the incident occurred.
Round Rock Police have confirmed that the two pedestrians killed were a Tyrone Price, 43, and his 12-year-old daughter Cheyenne,
Three people inside the minivan were taken to a local hospital, all with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the red mustang and a passenger had to be extricated from the wreckage and were taken to the hospital with severe injuries, however they are expected to survive.
The driver of the blue mustang fled the scene and is still being sought by authorities.
Police say they will pursue criminal charges against the driver of the red mustang.
