Fire Truck Collides with Wrecking Truck, Three Injured in Baytown

An accident with a fire truck left three people injured Saturday when a wrecking truck collided with it in Baytown, Texas near Thompson Road.

According to witnesses, the Channelview Volunteer Fire Department did not use its sirens until right before the accident occurred as it responded to a fire.

Although investigations are still uncovering who was at fault for the truck collision.

The driver of the wrecking truck was ejected from the vehicle, authorities said. A child and a woman, who were passengers in the wrecker, were also injured in the accident. The injuries endured did not seem life-threatening, police reported.

The front of the fire truck experienced extensive damage, although none of its occupants were injured.
