Fittest Company Competition

Health and wellness has always been a firm-wide priority. As a title sponsor in the Cen-Tex race series and as a sponsor for the BCS Marathon series, our attorneys, legal assistants and staff spend many weekends particpating and volunteering at various races and runs across the state. In addition, we have attorneys particpating in Iron Man competitions, various marathons, mud runs, 5k’s and other events around our communities.

Last year, Partner Nicholas Pritchett participated and won Fittest Attorney. This year, we took the Fittest competition a step further, enlisting Partner Steven Walden, Partner Nicholas Pritchett, Attorney Francisco Morales and Attorney January Turner in the Fittest Company compeition. As a result, the group spent Sunday competing with other professional in a variety of exercises to measure their overall fitness levels.

Based out of Austin, Texas, the Fit Company Institute challenges “business leaders to become the fittest they can be with a set of courses meant to test endurance, strength, agility, stamina and power.” Participants are included in the compition by invitation only, stemming from nominations. Walden, Pritchett, Morales and Turner are also competing in the Fittest Lawyer competition. The course, which is created specifically for the event by professionals, take approximately 90 minutes for participants to complete and includes a variety of exercises ranging from pushups to cross-fit based exercises to running.
