Five-year-old Girl Killed in Fort Worth, Texas Hit-and-run Accident

A five-year-old girl was killed and two other children were injured in a Fort Worth, Texas hit-and-run accident, authorities said.
Five-year-old Khyla Hays, was pronounced dead at Cook Children’s Medical Center after she was struck while crossing Southcrest Drive, Sunday afternoon.
Six-year-old Lamarion Perry was also transported to Cook Children’s Medical Center, for the treatment of injuries he endured in the Texas hit-and-run accident. A third child was injured but police have not identified the child, who was transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the children was identified as Daniel McDonald, 20, of Fort Worth. McDonald is facing two different charges of leaving the scene of an accident that caused injury or death, police said.
A passenger in McDonald’s vehicle, 21-year-old Patrick Allen Preston was arrested for public intoxication. Both McDonald and Preston fled the scene, parked the SUV they were in and ran until they were apprehended by police.
