An out of control vehicle accident resulted in the death of one Florence High School student and the injury of three others Thursday night, Williamson County officials said.
Fifteen-year-old Carlos Salas of Florence was pronounced dead at the scene, by County Justice of the Peace Steve Benton.
The three injured Florence students, Enrique Villa Franco, 15, Cruz Ramirez, 18 and Terrel Rogers, 16 have all been listed in stable condition, according to the Georgetown Department of Public Safety.
The 1997 Mitsubishi driver, Ramirez, was taken to Scott and White Hospital in Temple with broken vertebrae.
Villa Franco and Rogers were taken to Seton Medical Center in Round Rock for their various injuries. At the time of the accident the driver and all three passengers were on their way to a Florence High School junior varsity football game and appeared to be wearing seatbelts, according to investigations.
Grief counselors and ministers are available to students at the high school today.
