Four High School Students Involved in Deadly Car Accident in North Texas

A Timberview high school student was killed in a North contact us online, Saturday after the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the median.
Kimberly Pimental, 17, was driving around midnight on Highway 360 when the accident occurred, police department officials said. She was transported via CareFlite to Methodist Dallas Medical Center and listed in critical condition. *Update* Pimental died at Methodist Dallas Medical Center from injuries resulting from the accident.
Backseat passenger, 15-year-old, Carlos Marquez, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other passengers riding in Pimental’s car were transported to the hospital with injuries. The names of those other passengers and conditions have not been released.
According to police and witnesses at the accident, speed may have been a factor in the tragic crash. Authorities and witnesses estimate that Pimental was driving approximately 85 as she attempted to pass a vehicle in a 55 mph hour speed zone.
