Four Killed in Auto Collision with 18 Wheeler in Hallettsville, Texas

A three-vehicle car accident involving an 18 wheeler killed four people and injured four others when the driver of an SUV lost control of the vehicle. The SUV was then struck by the 18 wheeler truck, which smashed into another nearby SUV.

Police identified the occupants who were killed in the 18 wheeler accident as, Felipe Garcia, 39, Brandon Garcia, 9 and Anthony Garcia, 10 all of Brownsville. Christine Salazar, 42, a resident of McAllen, Texas was also a passenger in the SUV and was killed in the Hallettsville accident.

Felipe Garcia was identified as the driver of the SUV that lost control.

The four occupants in the other SUV that was involved in the accident have not yet been indentified and endured minor injuries resulting from the crash.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

Authorities are still investigating the car accident and what may have caused the SUV’s driver to lose control of the vehicle.
