A pedestrian was injured Friday night after the man tried to help a crash involved vehicle nearby on Texas 105, fire department officials said.

The man, whom police only identified as in his 20’s, was hit as he crossed the roadway to aid a woman who’s vehicle was involved in a car crash.

The victim was transported with a broken leg to Conroe Regional Medical Center.

Witnesses on the scene cited vehicles in the region that failed to slow near the previous accident, which the man was attempting to help with.

While police have not released any additional details, witnesses said the woman who was involved in the first accident was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
