Honda Recalls More Than 600,000 Vehicles for Defective Air Bags

Honda air bags are the latest auto safety product to spark a significant recall, with hundreds of thousands of the Japanese automaker’s vehicle being pulled for defective airbags.
According to the automaker’s American headquarters, the recall includes 2001 to 2003 model year Honda’s and Acuras after the airbags featured in the vehicles were shown, during inspections, to be explosive, with the potential of causing injury or death.
The Honda Civic, Honda Accord, Honda Odyssey, Honda CR-V, Honda Pilot and 3.2 TL Acura and 3.2CL Acura, in various model years, including ranges of 2001-2003 have recently been added to the expanding recall.
In addition to the vehicles being recalled, the bad airbags may have also been sold in collision and body shops, American Honda, Co. said.
