Jasper Couple Injured in Lufkin Accident

A Jasper couple was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident near Lufkin as they traveled north on Highway 69, police said.
Officials identified the injured couple as 79-year-old Everett Stratton, the driver of the truck, and 80-year-old Loma Stratton.
According to reports, the driver of the vehicle lost control, before the pickup truck rolled, landing on its roof. Mr. and Mrs. Stratton were both transported to Lufkin Memorial Hospital via ground ambulance. An update on their condition has not yet been released.
Police are still investigating what may have caused Everett Stratton to lose control of the pickup, ultimately causing the rollover accident near Lufkin.
