Reports noted that as many as 5 vehicles may have been involved in the multi-vehicle accident in Killeen.
As more soldiers return home from deployments and the population in the region increases, the highways and roads in Central Texas have been filled with a rising number of vehicles. Motorcycle accidents in Killeen and surrounding regions, as well as auto accidents continue to snarl traffic, as exhibited in the accident on 190 this afternoon.
As traffic increases, some roadways and intersections have experienced greater volume of vehicles, making it difficult and more time consuming for drivers to travel throughout the region as efficiently.
While more vehicles on the highways and interstates are responsible for an influx in car wrecks, more distractions while driving can also be tied to collisions. Cell phones, mobile devices, texting and constant interactions on social media may be related to increases in traffic related dangers.
