A 19-year-old girl was transported to the hospital via helicopter after her vehicle was rear-ended in a hit and run accident on I-35.

Jessica Molina sustained severe head trauma when her vehicle was struck from behind by a dark truck, officials said. The impact of the rear-end crash sent the vehicle into a palm tree. The vehicle landed in nearby ditch and ejected Molina, leaving her seriously injured.

Police are still investigating the hit and run accident and seeking any information witnesses may have regarding details associated.
