Lubbock man dies in Lynn County rollover
A Lubbock man is dead following a fiery crash rollover crash in Lynn County on Wednesday.
Rudy Garcia, 48, of Lubbock was traveling northbound on FM 2192 when he failed to properly navigate an s-curve, said Texas Department of Public Safety officer John Gonzalez. Garcia went off the roadway, overcorrected and rolled over into the southbound lanes, said the DPS official.
The victim was ejected from the vehicle and died on impact, according to the police report. By the time officials arrived on scene, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames and caused a small grass fire near the vehicle.
Garcia’s vehicle was the only one involved in the crash. DPS is still investigating.
