Lubbock Wrong-Way Accident Kills One, Injures Another

A wrong way accident on Interstate 27 near Hale Center, left a Lubbock man seriously injured after his vehicle collided with an SUV traveling in the on the wrong side of the interstate, Tuesday afternoon.
Forty-seven-year-old Lester Allen Huddleston, was transported to University Medical Center, though he was recently listed in satisfactory condition, authorities reported.
Lubbock resident, 69-year-old Carol Richardson, was traveling down the interstate in her Chevrolet Suburban when she veered into the median and crossed over into the opposite lane, where the SUV was struck by the truck driven by Huddleston.
Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene. No other passengers or vehicles were involved in the collision. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
