A man convicted of two previous Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) charges was arrested and charged a third time after he rear ended a Bryan school bus, officials said.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, 50-year-old Christopher Taylor smashed into the back of the school bus, injuring two of the 33 students aboard. The bus was stopped to unload some of the students aboard.
Authorities said Taylor blamed the accident on pain medication he had previously taken, though he failed a sobriety test.
Although Taylor is being held in Brazos County Jail, a sample of his blood is being sent to Austin’s DPS crime lab to be analyzed.
