A rollover accident near McGregor resulted in the death of an 18-year-old girl Saturday, officials said.
Kayla Rene Berryhill was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her half sister, Aurieone Danielle Berryhill, 17, when the driver lost control of her 2002 Pontiac. No other vehicles were involved in the rollover accident, Texas Department of Public Safety officials said.

Single vehicle rollovers are becoming increasingly common, sometimes due to car, truck and SUV defects. While both voluntary and forced recalls of vehicles provide one manner of identifying potential problems that could be dangerous for drivers and passengers, some dangerous defects go unnoticed.
Knowing your vehicle and having it regularly inspected is one way of keeping cars and trucks safe for occupants. In addition, staying updated aboutrecalls related to your vehicle is imperative to protecting you and your passengers.
