A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident near U.S 183 on Texas 45 after he rear-ended an SUV in front of him, catching his motorcycle on fire.

Police said 53-year-old Stephen West Rose was pronounced dead at the scene of the motorcycle accident in Round Rock.

Rose was riding a 2010 Kawasaki motorcycle at the time of the collision.

Officials are still investigating the accident as they struggle to reveal what may have caused Rose to crash into the back of the 2008 Jeep SUV in front of him. The driver of the Jeep stopped following the accident and police do not believe any charges will be filed against the unidentified driver.
