In a rollover accident, man vehicles overturn as a result of being tripped up on another object, uneven surface or even another vehicle. Pickup trucks and SUV’s can be even more susceptible to overturning because of the higher center of gravity they possess. While vehicles with a higher center of gravity may pose a specific risk of rolling, vehicles are designed to protect occupants from the crushing blows of the ground impacting the roof. Roof pillars are designed to reinforce the roof of a vehicle and protect the space between that roof and the head and neck of occupants within the car, truck or SUV.
