A Texas woman, originally thought to have been driving intoxicated at the time of a fatal accident, days ago, is being accused of driving with her hands behind her head in addition to driving while intoxicated (DWI).

As she traveled down I-35, officials say, she may have been operating the vehicle without both hands on the steering wheel. Her 6-month-old daughter was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the fatal accident in North Texas.

Brittany Dawn Burton, of Arlington, Texas, was arrested for intoxication manslaughter and child endangerment, since her child was in the car while she was allegedly driving while intoxicated (DWI).

According to police, Burton was spotted traveling down the interstate, driving the opposite direction, resulting in the wrong-way accident that left one person dead. Two vehicles, who struggled to avoid Burton’s oncoming SUV, crashed, killing one driver, whose name has not yet been released.
