The driver of a Dodge Neon was killed in an 18 wheeler truck accident, Wednesday morning when the driver of the big rig failed to yield the right of way, police said.

The driver of the Dodge was headed down Highway 90, in the westbound lane of traffic when the truck failed to yield at a stop sign, smashing into the smaller car. The impact of the Texas 18 wheeler accident caused the Dodge to slide beneath the truck.

The driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

The identities of the truck driver and passenger vehicle’s occupants have not yet been released, although reports noted that a 14-year-old girl was sent to Memorial Hermann Hospital. She has recently been listed in stable condition but suffered head and neck injuries as a result of the underride accident in Crosby, Texas.
