One Killed, Three Injured in Car Accident in Rio Vista

The community of Rio Vista is mourning the loss of a local high school student following a tragic car accident that occurred on County Roads 1106 and 1208, Wednesday night.

The revered high school student, 18-year-old Charlotte “Charlie” Tillison was killed when the vehicle she was a passenger in lost control and smashed into a tree off the roadway. Three others were injured in the car accident attorneys in Waco.

According to police, the impact of the crash caused the 2002 Volkswagon Jetta to be crushed, almost in half, when it collided with the tree.

Police identified the driver of the vehicle as 16-year-old Shelbi Misener.

Two other passengers were also injured in the single-vehicle accident in Rio Vista. Police said 19-year-old Lance Rejcek of Rio Vista and 19-year-old Bryan Kiker, of Waco. Both were ejected from the vehicle upon impact.

Rejcek, Kiker, and Misener were transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.
