One man died in a Canyon Lake car accident between two vehicles, on Saturday, that also left two others injured.
Police identified the man who died in the two-vehicle collision as 27-year-old, Blanco resident, Jason Cortez. Cortez was pronounced dead at the scene of the New Braunfels car accident.
Although police have not yet identified the two men injured in the Texas collision, officials did say one was a 27-year-old Canyon Lake resident and the other was a 20-year-old Schertz man. Both men were transported to the University Hospital in San Antonio via Airlife.
According to authorities, the impact of the collision caused one vehicle to overturn in the roadway while the other car came to a rest on a nearby shoulder. Cortez was the driver of the vehicle that overturned onto its side.
Police are still putting together the pieces of the puzzle surrounding the accident in an effort to uncover more about why it occurred.
