As summer months warm up, runners often are forced to get out and complete runs during early morning hours and late evening, when temperatures are a bit cooler. As a result, arming oneself with proper gear and making sure runners are visible to drivers can be helpful. In addition, drivers should always be on the lookout for foot traffic and cyclists in the area, especially surrounding schools and recreational areas, like parks and trails.
