Pedestrian & bicycle accidents often result in very serious injuries or death because of the vulnerability of pedestrians in contrast with much larger and powerful vehicles. Pedestrian accidents on highways can be especially devastating because of the high speeds in which vehicles are traveling, making the impact of an accident more severe.
