Pedestrian Killed in Austin on FM 969 Identified

A pedestrian accident in Austin claimed the life of a man who was struck while crossing FM 969, also known as Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard last Wednesday.
The pedestrian killed in the fatal accident was identified as 66-year-old Jessie Howard Williams. According to police Williams was crossing near Hwy 183 when he was struck by a westbound Toyota Corolla.
Police said Williams was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene of the fatal crash.
Police are still investigating the Travis County accident and seeking any possible witnesses who may have more information regarding the circumstances.
