A Waco accident involving a speeding SUV and a pickup truck claimed the driver of a pickup truck after the SUV smashed into the truck so severely that it burst into flames, preventing identification of the victim, police said.
Police estimated that the SUV was traveling at speeds of 120 mph or greater at the time of the Waco collision.
According to reports, the driver of the SUV, identified as Miranda Monique Campbell, 28, was accompanied by passenger Cindy Ann Murray, 39, at the time of the Waco accident.
While the accident is horrific, in and of itself, the details surrounding make it even more interesting as police revealed Campbell had stopped at the police station regarding a previous arrest right before the crash occurred. Campbell acted erratic, according to reports, and repeatedly asked police for water before leaving.
Officials said the pickup truck rolled before erupting in flames after the SUV collided with it. The driver was pronounced dead. Police are still investigating the Waco accident.
